Website Copywriting That Works

Here's a copywriting tip that will help your site visitors understand your offer, stay with your site and convert (buy, subscribe, donate, call, email, etc)

We talk about the importance of 'chunking' content, which is to express it with headlines, bullet points and bold text.  When doing that, see if you can't tell your entire story with only headlines and bullet points.  People tend to skim websites.  Give them what they want in as few words as possible.  It's a great exercise and a technique that will pay dividends.

Bonus copywriting tip: Use keywords in headlines.  Search engines love the keywords in headlines and give more creedence to headine keywords than in paragraph text.
